Vtg Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Bayern Dresden Cobalt Gilt Pedestal Cup Saucer Set

  
Heavily gilded cobalt pedestal cup and saucer set - stunning and elegant for a cabinet display. Made by Hutschenreuther in Bavaria, Germany in early 1900s. Hallmarked on verso of the saucer and the cup with Hutschenreuther CMHR crown mark, letters. The condition is excellent, free of chips, cracks or scratches.

The gold is bright and intact including the gold gilding to the handle. Very minor scuffing on the inside of the gilded cup is so insignificant that I only mention it for accuracy. Very deep cobalt blue ground looks almost black in the low light and accentuate the heavy raised gold decorations. The approximate measurements: cup is 3.5" W with the handle and 2" H; saucer is 4.5 diameter. Please see the pictures and let us know if you have any questions.
