Set of Two, French, Copper Saucepans with Flat Copper Lids, Copper Splash Lids

  
This is a lovely set of two, lined, french copper saucepans, complete with flat lids, with iron handles. Ideal for hanging above large country kitchen fireplaces, or from rustic beams in converted barn kitchens, these pans are the ultimate farmhouse styling accessories. They have a genuine, authentic patina from "by-gone" times and ooze style.

The lids are "universal", and being flat, do not have to correspond with the exact diameter of the vessels, so can be used on many different sized pans of various materials! There are no major dents at all, just odd "dints" and no damage to the handles. I've not tried to clean them up, as I love the vintage, "aged to perfection" look that the slightly tarnished copper has for authenticity. They are in great condition but please do take a good look at the photos, as there are surface scratches and marks on the copper, consistent with their age and use. The linings on the pans and lids are worn and have scratches and marks from use.

As with all vintage copper, they have signs of verdigris in the grooves and indentations. Altogether they weigh 3.4kgs/ 7.5 lbs. The larger pan measures 20cms/ 7¾" diameter x 10.5cms/ 4¼" deep 39cms/ 15¼long to the handle. It is 1.2mm thick.

It's lid is 22cms/ 8¾" diameter 36.5cms/ 14¼" long, to the handle. It is 1.5mm thick.

Together they weigh 1.9kgs / 4.2 lbs. The smaller pan is 18cms/ 7" diameter x 9cms/ 3½" deep 34cms/ 12¼ long to the handle. It's lid is 19.5cms/ 7½" 32.5cms/ 12¾" long, to the handle. Together they weigh 1.5kgs / 3.3 lbs. It will be fully tracked, signed for and insured.
