RARE & FABULOUS Antique TWIN SPOUT Wedgwood Majolica Teapot Cobalt Blue, 1889
RARE & FABULOUS Antique TWIN SPOUT Wedgwood Majolica Teapot Cobalt Blue, 1889. ITEM: A small (2 cups) teapot, with TWO spouts and TWO handles, in a gorgeous cobalt blue majolica glaze; the handles and finial are like brown stems with branches spreading onto the body of the pot. The pot has the impressed Wedgwood mark, and the 3-letter date code indicates it was made in 1889. MEASURES: 4-3/4" high to top of lid x 7" wide handle to handle and 8 wide spout to spout. CONDITION: Overall, this piece is in very nice shape, especially for display; it is not recommended for the brewing of tea after all these years. There are numerous glaze flakes under the lid and at the spout ends. NOTE: This delightful teapot has been in my collection for over 40 years, and it has always been my favorite.
However, the years go on and it is time to let it go to a new home... If, for any reason, we are delayed beyond that, we will inform you at once.
