This very nice HO gauge two car railcar set by Liliput is L112503 a DR VT 137 in green livery with running numbers 137 210 and 145 140. The DR VT 137 are railcars that were originally built with 302 kW of power for the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft as a standard railcar with a standard floor plan 77 railcars were manufactured in six series.
The vehicles were delivered in 1935 and used on the specified routes in passenger and express train service. The vehicles intended for Ruhr express traffic only had a top speed of 90 km/h for better acceleration. When war broke out, all vehicles were initially decommissioned and later reactivated and converted for various Wehrmacht purposes. 55 vehicles survived the war, of which 23 remained in the territory of the later Deutsche Bundesbahn, 23 in the territory of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, one in the territory of Czechoslovakia, two in France and six in Norway. The remaining vehicles were war losses.
After the Second World War, several of these vehicles were used by both German railway administrations and occasionally throughout Europe. The service ended in the 1970s at the latest, when the last vehicles from the Deutsche Reichsbahn were retired by 1978. The train is in good condition as you can see in the pictures, it is fully tested and runs with working lights and interior lights. It comes complete with its box. In good if slightly shelf worn condition.
Overall this is a really nice scale train pack and would look fantastic on a layout. Do please have a look at my other listings, I typically have various HO and OO locos on offer as well as an extensive range of imported N gauge locos and other items. Note: I do recommend all locos are cleaned & serviced, as they have some age to them even if the quality looks at the highest level fairly standard advice for all locos!
