American Copper 6 Coin Type Set Collection Half Large Eagle Two Indian VDB Cents

  

Here is a 6 coin type set of early American copper coins. They are all in circulated condition, some better than others. This coin appears to be a ground find with surface erosion on both sides.

The US minted half cents for general circulation from 1793 thru 1857. This is a pretty decent coin with a couple of rim dings. Large cents were minted from 1793 thru 1857. This is a nice average circulated coin. Flying Eagle cents were minted for general circulation for just two years in 1857 and 1858.

Several type coins were minted in 1856 as specimen coins to see how the new coin size might be received. These coins were later released for circulation. This otherwise very nice coin is unfortunately blessed with a hole that has been drilled at the 11:00 position. Two cent pieces were only minted for general circulation for nine years from 1864 thru 1872 due to lack of public interest.

This is a really nice average circulated coin. Indian cents were issued from 1859 thru 1909. This is a very nice coin with less than average wear, but it does have some dirt built up around the edges. The VDB initials are very clear and easy to see.

This was the first year of issue for the popular Lincoln cent design which is still being issued today, and the only year that Victor David Brenner's initials appeared in this position on the coin. As a bonus, I will include an almost uncirculated 1943 World War II Lincoln steel cent. Please see photos for additional visual descriptions.
